Justice for All Under the Law!
I am not a lawyer or politician. I have no political aspirations. Integrity, honesty and loyalty are fundamental characteristics in every aspect of my life. The desire to serve my country and community is what formed my decision to run for Constable in 2009. Since that time, I have been proud to serve as a Pennsylvania State Constable from Patton Township in Centre County. As you look further in this web site, you will see that in all of my professions I strive to execute my duties with professionalism and with honor. It is from my 24 years of experience in the United States Army that these traits stem. I wish to continue to serve this community as a Pennsylvania State Constable. No politics, but justice under the law.
I am a native of Reisterstown, Maryland. After high school graduation, I joined and served in the United States Army for 22 years retiring in 1997. Post retirement, I went back to school completing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix. I have worked in various positions throughout the Central Pennsylvania region in sales management, financial planning, retail sales, and banking. In 2007, I was voluntarily recalled to serve in the Army in support of the Global War on Terror. I retired for the second time in 2009.
Since 2001, I have called State College home. Together with my lovely wife Denise, we have five grown children and are very proud grandparents of 11 grandchildren.
I am a member of the Our Lady of Victory parish, former 1st Vice Commander and currently Post Chaplain with the Post 245 American Legion in State College, a life-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, an associate member of the Bald Eagle Lodge#51 FOP, and a former PIAA and NCAA Track and Field Official for twenty four years. My wife and I enjoy various community work, playing in the outdoors, and traveling.
During my service in the Army, I was Military Police for over eighteen years working in law enforcement and physical security. I was named Post Soldier of the Year in 1980 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. I also worked in Army Recruiting attaining the Morrell Medallion, its highest award. It was my duty to ensure applicants were fully qualified to enter military service which included regular review of legal records from various courts and law enforcement agencies.
My private sector experience includes insurance and financial planning, sales management, and bank branch management.
After my most recent retirement, I was elected for one term as Majority Inspector of Elections in Patton Township and I continue as a certified Pennsylvania State Constable. As a Constable, I have taken professional pride in the execution of required duties. I am a former certified adjunct instructor, for classroom and for firearms instruction for Pennsylvania State Constables with Indiana University Pennsylvania through the office of Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. I am currently an NRA Law Enforcement Handgun certified instructor. I am also the former State Secretary and Board Director for North Central Pennsylvania area of the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Constables. I claim a 98% close rate of cases, thus ensuring that the courts and agencies I serve are judicious and revenue generating for the state taxpayers. In November of 2017, I graduated from the Municipal Police Officers Education Training Center (Police Academy) through Harrisburg Area Community College, to become Act 120 certified.
An independent voice within and for our community.
Excelling professional law enforcement performance with pride and integrity.
